Welcome...(Nosferatu style, with shifty eyes)

For some, wine is a beverage. For others, a luxury. For me it's...intense. It's a necessity. If I were a zombie, wine would be my brains. If I were Jane, a Rhone style syrah would be my Rochester, beckoning me in the night; and I, breasts heaving, would run out into the foreboding expanse of the moors and throw myself helpless at its feet. Ok, Jane would never be so melodramatic or codependent, but I would. Anyway...(awkward Pause)...

If, after that outburst, you're still willing to follow me into my cave of thoughts about wine, here's what I believe:

1. A bottle, once opened, should always be finished.
2. Good wine doesn't have to be expensive. (Though I will admit to having spent a lot of money on wine in my time.)
3. If you like it then to you it's a good wine. There is no final word.

Having said that, I drink A LOT of wine. My friends and husband say I'm pretty good at it. (Not just the drinking, but also the discerning part.) I fancy it's true, or if it isn't I'm just gonna pretend it is. So, without further adieu, here is what I'm drinking and how I feel about it. Ha!

...(Shifty eyes)...

Michelle
